Setting a new standard for on-site surveyor safety

With all on-site surveyor safety of critical importance, we recently contracted PeopleSafe to supply MySOS ID Badges to our team in the field. Enabling immediate assistance in critical situations, this additional underpins our commitment to safeguarding the well-being of our employees, ensuring they feel confident and protected while conducting their work.

Designed specifically for lone worker support these innovative badges ensure our team has round-the-clock access to emergency support while working remotely or in isolated environments.

Hidden in plain sight and easy to access in an emergency, these compact badges:

  • Are BS 8484:2022 accredited for lone working
  • Provide 24/7 support with a 3-second response time
  • Hold an SOS button with two-way communication
  • Have up to 90 hours of battery (equivalent to 11 working days)

Built with pinpoint location that utilises the strongest network to receive the best possible connection via the built-in roaming-sim, the MYSOS ID badge uses a combination of GPS and Wi-Fi tracking alongside integration with What3Words, to ensure staff can be located within 5m² whatever area they are in – whether it’s very remote or a built up urban cityscape.

With solutions in place for emergency situations, the hands-free capability also automatically detects a fall sending an alert in a situation where the wearer is unable to press the SOS button.

“By integrating technology into our operations, we’re setting a new standard for workplace safety, championing innovation, and demonstrating our dedication to a secure working environment. Our surveyors’ safety is non-negotiable, and we’re excited about the positive impact these badges will have. Together, we’re building a safer future”
