David joined Rand Associates in 1975 as an associate partner, becoming a Director in 2002. He is the author of the M3NHF Schedule of Rates and its associated modules. David is technical adviser to the National Housing Maintenance Forum and a founding director of PFA. David is also joint author of the NHF Form of Contract.
David is a quantity surveyor by profession being a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, as well as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building, Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Plumbers and a Freeman of the City of London.
Barry joined Rand Associates in 1979 and has over 40 year's experience in the industry. He started as a quantity surveyor, progressing to leading the building surveying department.
His main responsibility is directing the building surveying department and to oversee the project teams handling the social housing asset management functions. Barry is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Barry has retired as a Director and now provides a wide range of asset management consultancy
Simon joined Rand Associates in 2001 and leads our team carrying out stock condition surveys in the Southern region. He is also heavily involved in helping clients in the development of Asset Management Strategies, Investment Plans and Stock Rationalisations.
Simon is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and has a Post Graduate Diploma in Building Surveying. He is qualified to carry out asbestos surveys and is a Domestic Energy Assessor.
Dominic joined Rand Associates in 2007 and is now head of our Wirral office where he project manages all of our Northern, Midlands and Irish based survey assignments. He has over 20 year's experience in the industry. His involvement includes validation surveys for stock transfers and stock condition surveys for various landlords.
Dominic is our senior Fire Risk Assessor and has written a guidance document 'Fire Safety' for the National Housing Maintenance Forum. Dominic is a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and is qualified to carry out asbestos surveys and is a Domestic Energy Assessor.
Jon joined Rand Associates in 1997 and leads the IT department. He deals with all internal IT and communication issues and those associated with our service delivery to clients.
Jon provides support to clients in use of databases and training in the use of asset management software including experience of data transfers between various asset management systems. He has also been instrumental in the successful development of our esurveys app for surveyors to use on site. Jon has a degree in Information Technology.
Chris joined Rand Associates initially in 1999 as a Building Surveyor carrying out stock condition surveys.
Chris has 18 years’ experience of working in the Social Housing sector. Chris has now re-joined Rand Associates and is using his experience to provide surveying, asset management and Schedule of Rates support services to our clients. Chris has written new schedule of rate items for clients who are tendering for specific pieces of work that sit outside the M3NHF Schedule of Rates. Chris has a HND Building Studies and Asbestos P405 Asbestos Management.
Rory first started with Rand Associates in 2008 where he managed surveying consultancy operations for the North of England from our office based in the Wirral. He then went on to work for a number of social housing providers before returning to Rands in 2022 as our Head of Net Zero leading our sustainability consultancy.
He has a BSc (Hons) in Heritage Conservation, an MSc in Commercial Building Surveying, he is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Builders, a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers and is a Chartered Environmentalist. Rory’s membership of the RICS and his experience within the industry allow him to undertake the Design roles to the vast majority of properties within Retrofit projects.
Rory completed his Level 4 Retrofit Assessor and his level 5 Retrofit Coordinator qualifications through the Retrofit Academy. He has also completed the Level 3 Award in Energy Efficiency of Older & Traditional Buildings and is a qualified Domestic Energy Assessor who holds accreditation to provide EPCs, PAS2035 Assessments and PAS2035 Coordination through Elmhurst Energy and ECMK.
Georgina joined Rand Associates in 2013 and is a Project Manager based in our North West office.
Georgina has over 10 years’ experience managing stock condition survey projects and has participated in an array of other projects such as Maintenance Forecast Assignments, Data analysis and Database Management, Fire Risk Assessments and Energy Performance Certificates. Georgina has a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying, P405 Asbestos Management Qualification, Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor and Level 5 Retrofit Coordinator.
Georgina enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities.
Lewis is a Surveyor Manager with Rand Associates, having been with the organization since 2006. He has extensive knowledge and a proven track record of conducting stock condition/ decent home standard surveys, housing health and safety rating system and RdSAP energy assessments for clients nationwide, in addition to extensive experience in other specialist survey types.
Lewis provides internal/ external surveyor development and training, whilst also providing support and guidance to data analyst teams. He is also responsible for reviewing all evidence for hhsrs issues raised against assets, ensuring all moderate and severe issues raised are pass to clients in a timely manner as a duty of care and assisting the directors with asset management data bases, capital investment programmes and final report writing.
Craig is an experienced surveyor, turned Project Manager who brings knowledge of Stock Condition Surveys, Data Analysis, Database Management and Energy Performance Certificates.
Craig has a MSc in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management and a BSc (Hons) Degree in Building Surveying. Craig is also a Level 5 Qualified Retrofit Coordinator and a Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor. Craig is also a qualified Emergency First Aider.
Rebecca joined Rand Associates in April 2023 based in the Reigate office as a Project manager involved in all our stock condition survey projects across the UK. Rebecca has over 10 years’ experience in the social housing industry with a Level 3 CIH Housing Practice and Prince2 qualification.
Hannah joined Rand Associates in 2021 and is our Project Coordinator, Hannah is directly involved in all projects involving Stock Condition Surveys and Energy Performance Certificates that are ran from our North West office.
Hannah has a LLB (Hons) in Law and Criminal Justice and is also a qualified Level 3 Domestic Energy Assessor. Hannah has produced detailed and extensive reports including; Decent Homes Standards, Stock Reconciliation and Stock Condition Survey reports.
Hannah enjoys exercising, reading autobiographies and spending time with her family & pets.
Rob joined Rand Associates in 2018. He began as a Data Analyst, progressing to a Systems Analyst role in 2023.
His main responsibility is Database Management of the Stock Condition Survey databases, as well as maintaining the eSurveys survey form software. He also works on the development of the Schedule of Rates in a technical capacity.
He has completed an IATP/RoSPA Approved Asbestos Awareness Course and is a qualified First Aider and Fire Marshall.
